Foster Care Support

White's provides high levels of support for our foster parents.

Foster Care Support

White’s Family Services provides the highest level of support to foster parents in Indiana. Training provided goes well beyond the minimum state requirements, ensuring all foster parents are well prepared and confident in their ability to open their homes and lives to children in need.

After screening and acceptance, a new foster parent receives 36 hours of pre-service training. At the end of the training, the actual licensing process begins. Licensed foster parents receive support and ongoing training to equip them to meet the deep needs of the children they care for.

White’s therapeutic foster care program emphasizes individual treatment for the children and support for our foster parents. Continual assessment and individualized treatment plans help meet the children’s needs. In addition, each child receives basic counseling and skills training from members of the treatment team. A foster family receives a caseworker visit at least twice a month. Foster parents also have 24/7 crisis emergency support and regular monthly training.
