Home-based Services

White’s Home-based program offers parenting classes, assistance in preventing out-of-home placement and family reunification services. Parenting education is based on the Nurturing Parenting and STEP programs™, and are family-centered, covering topics such as positive parenting skills, self-nurturing and family nurturing time.

White’s also provides intensive family preservation and reunification services based upon the Homebuilders® model. This approach uses evidenced-based, cognitive behavioral strategies to improve family functioning through teaching families new skills, increasing their access to formal and informal supports, and inspiring them to change situations that caused them to need intervention services.

Assessment, homemaker services, supervised visitation and other types of in-home casework are also offered. For more information about home-based services, contact Hazel Hooven.
